A Little Bit About Me

It's just Jenna here. I feel it's best to begin this blog with some hopefully interesting facts about myself. For starters, I just moved to England. Yep. No more 'Merica for me! At least at present I've committed to serving two years in England as a part of Tees Valley Youth for Christ. After that, who knows where God will lead me!

I just recently graduated from Liberty University with a seemingly ambiguous degree in English. Ambiguous because, well, I have not the slightest clue what I'm going to do with that. However, I would not change it if i could because I learned so much from my English teachers at Liberty not only about literature, etc., but about living truly set apart lives for the glory of Christ. And by now you've probably guessed it. Yes, Liberty is a Christian university, and I implore anyone with negative preconceived notions about it to actually go and experience its atmosphere for yourself. Until then, I care little to hear your opinions about it. With that said, another semi-interesting thing about me is that I played soccer at Liberty, and have played since I was just a little five year old tomboy. Soccer has definitely been one of the biggest passions of my life, and I owe a lot to my coaches for helping me become the person and player I am today.

Hmm... other random stuff about me: I love journals, books, coffee, coffee shops, indie music, and traveling. I'm also a fan of admiring art and architecture. I love to read, mostly classics, but I'm not so snobbish that I'd neglect a great recent work that wasn't published 100+ years ago. Currently, I'm reading 'Undaunted' by Christine Caine and 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Bronte. Also, F. Scott Fitzgerald is one, if not my most, favorite of authors.

That's all nice to know,  but the most important thing about me is that I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. While being a follower of Christ does not ensure an entirely easy or rainbow-covered life by any means; it is in Christ that I live, and breathe, and have my being. Christ is the only true source of joy, peace, love. Oh, the depth of Christ's love. It puts deep sea submarines to shame.

One of my favorite verses is John 3:30, "He must become greater; I must become less."

All in all, that is a little bit about me!
